VIRUS ALERT: STEVE K @knight-Toolworks
I just received an email from [email protected]. It contained the W32.Klez.H@mm virus according to my Norton program. This email went to an old Knots email address that I’ve never used for anything else, so Steve, if you’re out there, clean up your system. If you have a question for me, post it here in this thread and I’ll try to answer.
This is the third time in two weeks I’ve gotten this virus alert at that particular email address. Hope you all have your virus programs up and running, because this may be going through address books of Knotheads.

Easy Forestgirl,
You might have gotten the virus from someone who had Steve's email address in their computer (or three different persons who did). It's not a slam dunk anymore that a virus attachement came from the person who's address is in the return to: slot. These viri generate these things to cause just such confusion!

OK, I'll take a deep breath. I just hope people are using their virus programs out there. This last year and a half has been bad for me -- Probably a couple dozen in quarantine.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Forestgirl,
I have to back my man Steve Knight on this one. I have received a couple of emails from him in the last couple of days. After reading your warning, I ran my Norton Antivirus program. It found no problems. Your problem, as suggested in earlier posts, probably came from elsewhere.

I agree, I agree already! (see post #3). Anyway, I've killed that email address so won't be getting anything through there any longer. Since I have access to 20 different address, it's easy enough to do.
Up until 2002, I just ran my virus program occasionally. Since then, I keep it running except when installing software. Given how many have been fixed or quarantined in the last year+half, that seems the wise thing to do.
