Somebody sells nylon or plastic vise jaw protectors for working with soft material. I can’t find a source. Can somebody help? Write me direct: [email protected] Thanks in advance.

My dad and his dad, both having grown up on little, made theirs. You could make different sets to accommodate various projects, out of, say, sheet metal, carpet, leather, and so forth.
I don't know of a source to buy them from.
Thanks. But the ones I had (one of 'em got lost) were perfect, with magnets to hold them on the vise jaws and grooves to hold round stock, etc. They never marked the piece. So I'm still hoping they exist somewhere to purchase.
I am pretty sure Lee Valley sells them; I think Rockler may too. Woodsmith or Shopnotes had an article within the last year on vices and listed sources.
