I had tried one of the earlier Wagners (about 5 yrs back) and frankly it was junk. Looks they've improved it some but for the price I'd be very suspect. A lot depends on what you're planning to use in it, and what level of work you expect it to do. Hope that helps a bit...

Thanks Paul. Among other things, the first thing I was planning to use it for was to spray cabinets with oil based paint.
Only a guess, since it's not the identical unit to mine (BTW, I wound up buying a high end Graco) but I suspect you're going to have to thin it considerably which in turn is likely to require more coats, more hassles, and not as good a finish... HTH

Thank you Paul - appreciate the advice
Useless for latex, unless you thin it almost down to pure water HVLP will not spray latex. Great for thin finish like varnish. Iffy on oils, usually must be thinned. Good luck on your job.
Just to clarify Larry (without putting words in your mouth) latex can be succesfully sprayed in a larger, multistage HVLP... done it many times.

Good point. I've never had access to a multisage and wasn't thinking about them. How much did you need to thin the latex?
With my current unit very little if any Larry... maybe 5%.
