anybody got a source for 1/8 inch walnut dowels? i can find them but have a gigundous minimum order thanks

Mr 1934,
May I suggest making some dowels yourself, using a dowel plate such as that sold by Lie Nielsen? The plate makes good dowels with a bit of practice and you can make as many or as few as you need, of any reasonable length (ie that can be forced through the plate without snapping).
I have made quite a few with this plate, out of many wood types. Try to use straight grain, if you do go this route.

1/8" is pretty small, many suppliers start with 1/4" At the smallest.
