I don't know who makes saw mills in Canada but go on line find a maker and call them they will guide you to an owner in your area. check him out by asking if this his first saw mill or a replacement indicating he has experience. not a newbie
This what i did with a portion of a walnut log ( actually 2 logs and about 700 b/f of wood) darn fine stuff. I have made some things from air dried walnut and some things from kiln dried.........air dried is much better in color. Crotch walnut and curly mapleWicked Decent Woodworks

Norwood Sawmills has a website called Norwood Town Hall. I don't know the address, so google it. They have a forum of sawyers there, and can probably find you someone in your area WITH EXPERIENCE to help you. I've been sawing for about 10 years, and let me tell you, there's a learning curve. I wish I had a few of the logs back that I butchered in the beginning.

Find someone close with a bandsaw mill. Your 12 inch logs are pretty small for a reg sawmill. The saw kerth on those are 3/8 inch. You'll lose a lot of wood with those.
Good luck JJB
