Wanted: Large Sheets of Graph Paper
Does anyone know where I could find some sheets of graph paper something like 3 feet by four feet. Maybe a ream or scroll? thanks, Bill Lindau

That almost sounds like something Kinko's could print for you. What about pattern maker's supplies, or are they all using CAD, too?
You can get pretty big graph paper at most large Hobby stores.
Also there is a lot availible on the net. If you want to go extreme look at "chart paper" it comes in many formats and rolls as long as you could ever need.
Pardon my spelling,
Mike
Make sure that your next project is beyond your skill and requires tools you don't have. You won't regret it.
You might be hard pressed to find graph paper at that size. I used to buy over-sized graph paper at an office supply store, but that was many years ago, and was not as large as you requested.
We have a printing company locally that specializes in printing architectural drawings and blueprints. If you can find a similar business, they can custom print graph paper that size. I know here you can have something printed on an oversized plotter at a reasonable price.
I doubt Kinko's will have a printer that large, and if they do, you'll pay through the nose for it. I make it a habit to avoid Kinko's at all costs.
Good luck.
Many years ago, we employed Boeing Consulting for some data processing projects. The consultants filled a whole office wall with a plasticized graph paper - 2 inch squares. I could never find it commercially until I asked the consulatants where they bought it. Turns out it was left over airplane wall covering from the Boeing plane side of the business.
And sure enough I found some at a wall paper store and it was cheaper than graph paper. Sometimes you have to think "out of the box" - in this case graph paper as opposed to simple, patterned wall covering. Take a look at wall covering patterns - I suspect you will find what you need.
Thanks to everyone that responded. So far, all I've found is 18" x 24". I guess I could tape some pieces together. I'll check the wall paper store. Bill
You can or at least once was able to get flip chart paper with 1" squares. I don't recall the measurements but it is something like 30"X36". Check at your office supply store
If such a store still exists, try a drafting and engineering supply house. They once had 20- to 50-yard rolls of vellum with a fade-out grid printed on the back. I think the rolls were 3 feet wide. Sometimes they have cut sheets. Such stores usually have various graph papers also which have more visible grids of various sizes.

Like Ark river said Chart Paper.
Search on the net. If you live in a metro area there will be a supplier.Pardon my spelling,

check surveyer's supply places
Any store that caters to the drafting trade (yes, it still exists). C or D size 'velum'. I bought some 'B' sized on a pad a couple years ago at an art store.
If they don't stock it they can order it. (I know, I know NOBODY drafts with pencil anymore! - so what's with all the french curves and triangles on the rack?)
Hi Bill... There is a SCHOOL SUPPLY store called WEEMS (WEAMS?). They used to sell 3 foot wide rolls of graph paper... the elementry school teachers use it by the mile. I believe they are a national company, so do a google and see what comes up.

Look for Architectural Vellum- Gridded. All kinds of sizes from 8 1/2 x 11 to 42" x 20 yd rolls.
Hey Bill- check the link
30" wide by 100' long roll for 21.95.
I found it by searching math teaching supplies-
you might be able to find exactly what you need searching a little deeper

Dave, that did it! The right size paper and one inch square gridwork. Thank you. And thank you to everyone that helped. Bill Lindau
Another vendor that sells Graph paper in rolls. It's at paper.com but I recommend following the link as the item can be difficult to locate.
https://secure3.nexternal.com/shared/StoreFront/default.asp?CS=paper&BusType=BtoC&Count1=168483912&Count2=85624337&CategoryID=1201&Target=products.asp
These come in individually wrapped rolls 34.5" wide by 25' which may be easier for some to handle. They also have a lower individual price point though the better deal is still in the larger rolls. Depending on where you're at you may save on shipping choosing between one vendor and another as these types of things are now pretty expensive to mail/ship.
The manufacturer, http://www.pacon.com/edu_aids/ruled_paper/rp5.php
also has a "where to buy link" that could yield a local vendor to avoid shipping alltogether. They apparantly make them in 1/2" and 1" rule and can also be had in a 200' roll. It looks like only the 1" rule is available in the 25' rolls though.
If you use Pacon's "where to buy" link, select Educational Aids | Ruled Paper as the product you're looking for. I'll also recommend calling the local vendor to confirm that they have the graph paper rolls, specifically, even though that may be elementary.
