just finished a small table made from recycled wood. theta is made from mahogany, 2 boards each about 10 inches wide. the had been in my basement shop for about 8 years. the top came out almost dead flat with a wiped on shellac and wax finish. Attached it to the base and brought it upstairs. a few days later i noticed the top had cupped about an eighth of an inch. topic about seven eighths thick. can this be saved? tempted to clamp it flat with cauls and resrew . any ideas?

I have had a top warp on me. I put an apron on under it that was about 3" wide. That pulled it back flat and has been good since.
Give it a coupla weeks, it might just flatten out again when it hits equilibrium in it's new home.
Did you coat the underside ? If not and the humidity level changed it could be that the differential in wood moisture level between the top and bottom made it cup. You can try drying/humidify the un coated surface to bring it back straight and seal it.
