Can I add a small amount of Minwax Oil stain(such as Special Walnut) to Watco Danish Oil to help darken the legs on a piece I just finished. It is made of wormy chestnut and the boards that I made the legs from are lighter than the body of the piece.

Why not just buy the tinted watco- they have all sorts of shades available. Also-there are a number of tinted waxes available which I find give a nice aged look to pieces. I especially like lakeone staining wax and their buffing wax. Do a search online for the distributor, I forget the name, but they are having a special on the staining waxes at $4.50 a pint (usually $12.00) Josh O.
*Yes, you can readily mix MinWax Oil Stain with Watco. They are both oil based products with mineral spirits solvent.
