I stained a maple door with a thinned latex paint and then covered it with water base finish. It came out OK. However, I damaged the finish in a small spot (I think some acetone may have dripped on it). I sanded it a little but need to know how I should repair the spot as I lost a little bit of the color as well as the finish. Thank you for your help.

You can try to run some color first then finish through a Preval Sprayer.
