I need to apply a polyurethane finish to the interior of a few window sashes. It is very cold this time of year where I live and do not want to open windows to ventilate so was hoping to use a water based polyurethane to avoid the VOCs. Does anyone have recommendations on any particular products? Thanks.

Just a thought, most of the water based finishes I have used caution about using only with adequate ventilation. I have been told by a paint chemist that works for Glidden that the vapors given off by water based finishes are quite toxic and should be used with adequate ventilation. So much for keeping the windows closed.
Are you spraying, wiping, or brushing?
If the material you are covering is not at least 55 degrees F, you may not get a good finish.
I will be brushing. Temperature is no problem inside the house. I just don't want to have to keep windows open for an extended time to remove fumes as it is quite cold around here now. My understanding is that the water based products contain much fewer VOCs. Thanks for the response.
I use Enduropoly from Compliant Spray Systems. It's mixed to spray right from the can, but they offer a modifer so it can be brushed.John O'Connell - JKO Handcrafted Woodworking

Of the various waterborne finishes I've used, I like the products from Target Coatings the best. In place of poly, I'd go with their Hybrid Varnish. It's a very durable finish and is formulated for brushing.
Target has an article on brushing waterborne at this link - Brushing Waterborne Finishes.Paul S
I've had good luck with General Finishes WB Poly- goes on great with a decent brush or foam pad, low odor, levels out well & dries in about 1 1/2 hours in the wintertime ( in So Cal anyway - ~55-60 degrees ).
I use enuro for spraying, haven't tried it for brushing. You could also try Varathane, but I personally don't care for the odor of it.
