I recently worked on a project that I finished with GF water based topcoat
(to be more precise I applied it with foam brush, 3 coats of it).
I am curious about what to except for water based topcoat compared to others on market after the finish is cured. Say if its more scratch sensitive than other varnishes/topcoats?
is one of the thing that came out on google search.

I have been using water based poly for about 10yrs now, I have never had a complaint. Just remember that it does not amber at all,
Okay good to know.
Thank you!
GF Enduro Var is a water based topcoat that mimics oil based ambering
I don't believe that the water based will scratch easier or have any durability issues. You could post your questions to the General Finishes group on Facebook. It is a very active group and, most times, an administrator of the group will answer. Sometimes a General Finishes support person will answer. The site is very reliable; very direct answers, knowledgeable responses, and generally quick answers (within a day).
I beleive water based to-chats to be harder and moré scratch résistants then their oil based counterparts however there is a vast arrêt of both and there are softer water based clear coats as well as harder conversion finishes using various hazardous chemicals. This chant is quite telling : https://generalfinishes.com/compare-clear-topcoats
