Hi folks.
Applied 5 or 6 coats of Waterlox to a walnut slab headboard. About a week after application I flipped it over on to some white foam so I could attach the supports. After 2 days I flipped it back and found 2 white cloudy lines in/on the finish where it rested on the sawhorses.
Any ideas on where they came from and how to get rid of the lines? There is no change in smoothness of the finish. I’m hoping they will go away on it’s own but don’t know. I’m hoping you folks may have some advice based on your experience…
Also, I’m moving the headboard from PA to Chicago for my daughter about 3 weeks after Waterlox application in a Uhaul trailer (in mid-June). I was planning to wrap it in plastic then moving blankets. Any ideas on a better way to wrap it (to avoid finish imperfections)?
I know it takes several months to fully cure. I hope I didn’t wait to long to make the bed!!
Thanks for any wisdom you can provide!!
