Need to get info on weaving chair seats. I have two old rocking chairs that need to be completely restored and I know nothing about weaving seats and backs. will appreciate any and all Help and suggestions

If you're talking about weaving Shaker-style cloth tape, there was a good article on the subject by Glen Carlson in FWW issue #121, pp. 78-81.
I do not have that issue. the earliest one I have is #124,but I certainly thank you for the info. will buy a book on Basic weaving and go from there.
Hi Barney , Can you describe the material that was on the old seats or the material you would like to use ? Most seat weaving is very simple. However different kinds have different methods and tricks, help is available for any and all types , let us know what we are dealing with in this case.

I do not have any idea what was used when the chairs were first made. All the material has been long gone, but assume it was Rush. These chairs are probely one hundred years old but that is only a guess .
