West Coast source for bandsaw blades
I’m a Timberwolf fan, but don’t have time to wait for a blade to come all the way from the other side of the country. Is there a West Coast source for an excellent 2 t.p.i. blade for my 14″ saw? (not a standard, off-the-shelf length). I’d like to order it on Monday and get it the same week.

Don't have time to wait? They mail out using Priority Mail. I ordered some yesterday (Friday) and they're supposed to get here (Texas) Tuesday. I ordered 4 blades this time. I always order after mounting my last blade.

Forestgirl , Try Barbo Machinery in Portland Ore, they are a large machinery house and I think they have the machine shop services still to take care of blades , sharpening and replacements. They are a great informational source on all types of woodworking tooling and machinery , always helpful .Also in the Seattle , Tacoma area look in the yellow pages under saw sharpening and such. In that large metropolitan area there must be sources close by .
good luck dusty
Don't know what their shipping practices are because they're 10 minutes from where I work, but I've used Hastings Saws, Rohnert Park, CA, online at http://www.hastingssaws.com/, phone 888/223-7016. Their welds are nigh invisible, at least on the blades they've sold to me.
FG,
Eagle tools in Los Angeles carries a nice selection of bandsaw blades.

Thanks for the responses. It could be if I order first thing in the morning, I'll get them within the week. I think the last (was also the first) time I ordered, it took a couple days for them to actually get in the mail.forestgirl Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>) -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
You can't go wrong with http://www.carbide.com
They have a good web site and are quick shippers.
Also, their prices are very attractive. Try a bi-metal blade from Lenox.
