Hey,
I just finished struggling for 2 hours trying to get 3 pairs of the Blum full extension tandem drawer glides to line up correctly in a built in vanity, what a bear. Then I couldn’t help thinking about what a BIG help just a couple of elongated holes at the front and back of the slide would have been in assisting the alignment. Why wouldn’t they do that? Comments?

These slides, like Euro-hinges and various cabinet connectors, are meant to be installed using mounting jigs of one type or another. Your frustration is understandable, but buy (or make for yourself) the mounting jigs you need and you will mount 3 drawers in 5 minutes next time.

It's a cinch to install slides and euro-hinges before the cabinet is installed. If you're the builder, mark their location on the sides prior to assembly then install the hardware after assembly with the cabinet on its side
Thanks Terry,
That's a good tip. In this case however the vanity was a built in. I also asked Blum if they had a jig for the Tandem, apparently not. But like I said, just a couple of elongated holes, like they actually have on their other glides, would have made the difference.
