I was asked by a long distance friend to assist him in constructing a TS sled for his saw. I described the parts needed and how to attach the runners to the sled and thought
“how nice it would be to share Lon Schleining’s video on squaring the sled.
It was quite informative and far better than me at describing the process.
So I go searching , find the video click on it and find that they only want 59.95 from me as a subscriber to the magazine already to access the video < insert not so smilely face here>
I will thank the moderators of these forums to remove my name from their roles as I have no need to spend any more money with a company that is not willing to share tips that used to be readily available.
This is bull and explains why ever since the move to prospero I have little to do with this forum.

JP,
Hang on for a bit of time. They (Taunton) have gotten a lot of grief about this new format, and fees, that I would not be suprised but what there may be some changes coming. Maybe even some price changes.
I absolutely agree with what you are saying. You can order Consumer Reports and get it through the mail or on the internet. If you get it on paper, you can also get it on the internet for a cheaper price. Another subscription I have is similar.
From the amount of grief Taunton has received, it was obvious they did not test the idea on a good cross-section of their subscribers.
If they don't change it, then it is clear to me that the Fine Woodworking website is for people with high incomes.
It has been great. I just hope it will be affordable in the future.

Joe,
Highland Hardware has a set of free plans available on their web site. It shows the build step by step along with photos.
