Was this the veneer itself as purchased, or was it after being applied to furniture, and then repaired?

*Tom, I get my veneer panels made up from Sieling and Jones out of New Freedom PA. This is a close up the inset in the Fireplace Mantle Retrofit posted in "The Gallery". I sent my customers this pic to make sure they were ok with it before I drove 100 miles to their house to install the mantle.Bill
