…the Tavern? Or whatever it was called?
Years ago I used to come by this site (under a diferent seudonym) and there was a section call – I think – The Tavern. Where you could sit back at the end of the day, put your feet up, have a cold one and discuss whatever you wanted.
It was a fun place…Good brewskies too. :>)

Chuck,
The Tavern is on the Fine Homebuilding site. There is still a discussion group on this site that you may be remembering called the Woodworkers Cafe. Due to some controversy (well I guess it was really more down right antagonism) on it some time ago, you now have to request the webmaster add you to it. Gary
Jeesh!
I have seen so many good forums ruined by thinned skinned whiners and/or boorish slobs. Or, worse yet, moderators that seem to like to play favorites with the members of the forum.
I guess we'll have to stick to the subject at hand...Woodworking. That's what we come here for in the first place.
But I WILL put my feet up after work tonight and have a brew...Or two!
ChuckI spent a fortune on deodorant until I finally realized that people didn't like me anyway.
Chuck,
"thinned skinned whiners and/or boorish slobs"
Careful! Language like that can bring you a reprimand, or get you suspended. We play nice on this site.
And remember to use your indoor voice...it's almost naptime.
Warm and fuzzy regards,

Yeah, Ray. From me. The language was far too civilised and wasn't intemperate enough.
And he forgot to mention Dolly the Sheep, left tilt or right tilt, Scary Sharp and how best to flatten a plane sole. Wussy topic he mentioned there. Pah!

Richard,
Don't forget F3$TOOL. Can't even spell it out anymore, Like ****, or ****,
Ooops, gotta run, they're onto me!
Best holiday ( probably can't say Christmas either) wishes,
Ray
And, "To biscuit, or not to biscuit edge joints?"
That can get pretty heated too.
Happy (northern) winter solstice festival to you. May your holly berries protect you from the evil winter hobgoblins of the dead months until the warming sun returns and the sturdy, everlasting, all watching, oaks have their first flush of leaves again. Slainte. Richard Jones Furniture
