is a jointer fence that can withstand the apparently massive forces that changes in the moon cycle exert on it. If the mfr’s can accomplish that, maybe they can seize the initiative and build a fence that will also withstand the inexorable pull of gravity.
Such a fence doesn’t have to tilt, cuz that’s a mostly useless feature anyway and besides, it requires a complete retooling of the fence after having tilted it. All it has to do is stand upright and not move. Set it once and forget it. What a concept!
Of course it would also be very nice if the fence were to form a perfectly straight line, so that square at the input translated into square at the output. But, all of that may be well beyond the present state of our industrial capacity.
BTW, I’m not tawkin about Chinese iron here.

Say ther Gap, show us a picture of the sob that is causing this grief, mebbe we can hep y'all.....
I had to move mine away from the HVAC vent - the fence moved when the air kicked on.
What brand of jointer is it. I've got a Northfield 12" HD, and they mean it when they say heavy duty. You can drop a 16/4 slab on it and it won't move. The fence alone weighs over a 100 lbs., and I haven't had to tune it for squareness in 3 years.

That's strange, my Chinese Iron (maybe Taiwanese) seems fine. At long last: a problem I don't have!
