I am planing to get the woodrat system and I am wondering what router to use with it.
If you have a woodrat system, what router(make ,model or size etc.) do you use with it?; or if you were to own the woodrat which router would you use with it?thanks Charlie

I've used a dw625 and bosch1613 in the LittleRat. The 625 is a good beefy choice, probably a little more power than you need and at least the LittleRat baseplate is designed specifically to mount it (there are locating holes).
The 1613 has enough power but its mounting is a little more problematic. I ended up drilling new holes in it as well as the rat baseplate to mount it.
I think it's easier to change bits in the 1613 (or any bosch) compared to the 625. I would have left my 625 on the rat except it is equipped with the router-raizer and I just couldn't stand having a router table without that feature any more.
I have more rat info on my web if you are interested.

Thanks for your response to my inquiry about routers ,I found it to be very helpful. the website you mentioned was very imformative also.
I am building a log home ;I'm near ready to build kitchen cabinets, vanities and passage doors( mortice and tenon, batten &groove panel). The woodrat being mounted at a workable height left me wondering how to handle the rails for the height of the doors ; your website mentioned a means for supporting and clamping them horizontal. I hope the setup time for the woodrat and learning curve for making dovetails and mortice and tenon joints don't hang me up too long. Thanks again Charlie
