I am planning to buy a 10″ or 12″ Sliding Compound Miter Saw. What is the best one for accuracy and long life. All help will be appreciated……….

Arguably the Makita LS1212, The Hitachi 10" slider, and there's been others here that like the new Bosch. I bought the Makita. This is a frequent topic here, try running a search.

Thank you for your help. I will try and run a search as soon as i figure it out.......
George,
I've had the Makital LS1013, 10" for years. I use it on every project. It has remained dead on accurate, with only one tune-up in 6 or 7 years.

Thank you for your help. I will consider all the possibilities........
Hey George,
I know this has been debated a lot here, but I'll throw my $.02 in anyhow. I've got a Makita 1013, and it is the closest thing to a perfect tool that I own. I use it a bunch, and it keeps excelling. Great blade comes with it too. I bet the Bosch is a nice tool, I've never tried one, I know the Hitachi is a good saw, and I've also tried the Dewalt. I personally don't like the Dewalt very much, but its perfectly functional. Out of the ones I've tried, Hitachi, Dewalt and Makita, I'm glad I bought the Makita. Accurate, solid, powerful ect, ect, ect. You probably can't choose a bad one if you stick to the big four, but try to try them before you buy.
Thanks for the great advice. I will try before I buy.......
