Strikes me it would normally have been here by now (in the US,) but I haven’t seen it?

So, I phoned customer service about this, and was told they didn't have any copies to send me. Their records show it was mailed, however I never received it. They offered to send a copy of the issue to me when it was in stock again but couldn't tell me when that might be. Is anyone else experiencing this? I've been an unlimited member for a few years now and this is the first time I've been stiffed on an issue. I realize it could be the fault of USPS... BUT surely they account for that with their press runs.
Any others with experience / suggestions as to how to resolve?
Thanks in advance.
I haven't received it either. In case it's an important detail, I am located in Canada. I have been subscribing for over a year and never missed an issue before.
Looking at my account online I see that my subscription expires 2026-04-01 and that I have 6 remaining issues. No reason, as far as I can tell, that I shouldn't receive it.
First of all, I want to correct myself: the issue I did not receive was #315, not 314.
Second, here's an update on the situation: I called the customer service number and the agent I spoke to said my subscription expired sometime in November 2024 and their system auto-renewed it a few days later which means that my subscription was effectively cancelled during those few days. It so happens that the publisher compiled the list of customers who would get issue #315 during these few days that my subscription lapsed which explains why I was not mailed the printed issue. I asked the agent why their system did not auto-renew my subscription on time and he didn't know.
Also in Canada and I’ve been an unlimited subscriber for a few years now, auto renews end of November. I have a payment for FWW near the end of Nov. 2024, as it normally has been. I have not received 314 or 315.
I had issues in late 2022 when I got a mailed noticed of subscription cancellation notice, which was weird cause I was auto renewed. I reached out to confirm that I did not want to cancel. My membership start date was changed to November 29, 2022.
I also found out that I apparently had a print subscription and digital, both separate. I thought this was sorted because it should all fall under the unlimited.
I reached out via email regarding missing issues and was told my subscription is not active and restarts in April. I have a credit card payment in November for 146 dollars Canadian.
Looking at my account it appears I have an “all access” subscriptions that is valid until Nov. 2025 and a “print” subscription that is valid until April 2025.
I’ll be calling customer service this coming week to see if it can be sorted. The responses via email have not been helpful.
I guess shame in my for relying on auto renew and not paying attention until I end up with missing issues..
I know this is of no help, but Popular Woodworking stiffed me like that once. I never did get the issue. I am still surprised that that a magazine can get by printing absolutely no overrun. You might still be able to find one at a newsstand, buy it, then ask Taunton to reimburse you. Good luck!
that would be active interest media at this point. good luck with that. A few years ago, I wrote an article online. A couple of other people distilled it and submitted it for publishing and Pop Wood published it. I didn't write the magazine article, but since it was basically a condensed version of my online article, they put my name in the by line.
PWW was going to send me a copy of the issue, but they didn't. The editor of the article contacted them again, and they said they would send the article once again. Of course, they didn't.
No real matter - I have the PDF of the article from before print, and not sure I could find it (it's not that important) and if I had the print magazine, I don't know if I'd have kept it either.
Point here, you sort of try your luck spinning the wheel with subscriptions these days and good luck if you need anything more than getting the initial copy by whatever automatic setup sends them out.
I also missed issue 314. In my case my print and on-line subscriptions somehow got out of sync, so my print subscription ran out one month before the auto-renew date. FWW told me that they were out of extra copies.
My subscriptions are out of sync as well. Any idea why?
And I didn't get 314 either.
I switched from a monthly all-access subscription to a yearly subscription. For a number of months I didn't get any print copies. I contacted customer service a number of times and eventually it was fixed. I suspect that has something to do with the out of sync subscriptions, but I'm not sure. FWW customer service has promised to fix the issue in the future.
Same here
No 314.
But I did get a notice that my subscription needed renewal.
I had a similar experience with Unlimited auto-renewing, but issue #315 never reached me. I asked Customer Service about it and they indicated they would send me a copy.
