where can I find quality cabinet grade plywood near NJ/PA border?
I have had terrible luck sourcing cabinet-grade hardwood plywood.
Lowe’s has maple with 9 plies (OK) but the surface is (less than) paper thin, shreds if you look at it sideways, and it is still not really flat.
Forget Home Depot, 5 ply max. A few years ago, I found a place off I-80 in the Poconos, and it was even more warped than Lowe’s.
Thanks,
Steve G.

Check out Robert's Plywood in Deer Park, NY, who may deliver to you (if you are buying at least 3-4 sheets or some lumber). They come up to me in Connecticut on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I believe serve New Jersey Monday and Wednesday. They will answer any questions you have about their products; I get all my sheet goods and most of my lumber from them. Simple pre-finished maple for cabinet interiors as well as bookmatched, end-matched, or exotic veneers on MDF or lumbercore plywood. If I'm ever disappointed with a sheet they'll swap it out next time they deliver to me.
I'm not sure how many plies their sheets are but they come to me flat and once a cabinet is screwed together you certainly don't need 11-ply stuff for a strong, stable, square box.
