Anyone knows where I could find the Book “Antique & Collectible STANLEY TOOLS Guide to Identify & Value” by John Walter?
Is the 2nd edition from 1996 is the latest?
Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Yvesg,
http://www.oldtools.com/books.html shows it for $30 or $40 for hard cover. Don't know about the editions though ...

http://www.mjdtools.com may have it also. rg
1996 is the latest edition except for annual updates as "pocket guides." These are small, about 3X5, books without all the information but supposed current values listed by tool number. I'm not sure when the latest "pocket guide" was published.
YvesG,
I bought mine off Ebay for under $10. They are listed there on a regular basis. Interesting little books.

I found John Walters website a couple years ago, and actually called him at the number on his site. He said his newest book would be out within the year, and that was almost 2 years ago. I see now that his web page has been down for a long time as well. I emailed him a few weeks ago asking about the newest edition, but have heard nothing back. I too have had trouble finding a copy of one of the older editions. I'm not sure if he's quit working on the newest edition, or if it's way behind schedule. I'll drop a note back here if I get an email back from him.
Thanks Doc,
I've seen some copy emerging on ebay sometime but I hesitate to bet on them because I was waiting for that new version he was talking about on his web site http://www.thetoolmerchant.com. As you noted, this site is not active anymore. That was last year, I did put myself on his mailling list but received noting.
I was hoping that John Walter droped his site in order to work mnore actively on his new edition.
Anyway, I will keep my ears open and if any news come my way I will post it.
Thanks again all of you.
YvesG
