Where in the Sam Hill is the “So, you want to order the issue, No. 162, that you purchased off the shelf in 2003 that is missing pages 51/2, 53/4 you’ve just looked up link”? It’s not the only one I bought around that time that was missing pages on building a workbench. I will not “Join” now just to have the same thing happen again. I am willing to buy the issue(s) in question. Nothing else at this point.

I'm confused.
I believe you want to purchase a back issue (#162) in print form - am I right?
They sell back issues in print form over at http://www.tauntonstore.com
- but I've never seen a 17 year-old issue for sale there. Maybe you could call the Taunton Store and see if they have a few old issues in a store room somewhere.
It's in NH. A really nice spot.
John_C2, You're not alone. "Easily" in my case.
Mike in Ohio, Bingo! Thanks for the info. I used to just buy the issues from a couple of local woodworking stores, etc., but stopped after a couple of issues had missing pages.
_MJ_, Beautiful state. Last time I was there I must've been about 10 and remember fishing Profile Lake. I understand the nose has fallen off the side of the cliff that's shape gave it's name to the lake.
If you want just a single issue, check eBay. The FWW archive is a great deal. You'll get all the back issues.
Note to one and all: Just had a "Chat" and the item(s) I want are no longer in stock. Thank you all again for your kind attention to my query.
It's also not that uncommon to find folks essentially giving away their Fine Woodworking magazines. I've seen it done on bulletin boards in our local Woodcraft stores. In my case, a distant relative was going to toss out about 25 years worth of FWW. I got them for free. Just need to keep an eye open as I see this kind of event happen a couple times a year locally. If they aren't free, it often costs less than $100 for multi-decades worth of issues. I like both the magazines and online. The magazines are great as when I thumb through them, I find articles I wouldn't as easily see online. Online is great if I am search for something specific or want to print it out to get ready to make it.
