If you go to the "members" tab on the top left of the page, you can search by member name and see their recent activity. From what I can tell Bob has been an infrequent visitor of late, but otherwise hale and hearty I presume.
No idea whether it's the forum or other things that have reduced his normally prolific contribution hereabouts.

Hi Hastings,
I checked the members tab but got no recognition for Bob Kidderville Acres. One column of members names is covered over by the Forum status box at the right, can't see the entire page. I may have his name wrong.
Seems odd that he hasn't been around, unless he's on dial up and can't get into the new, sloooooow Knots, I can't imagine the changes would have bothered him, he isn't the type to complain about such things. Bob was one of the peer mods on the old forum, don't know if any of those folks are still peer mods with the new set up. I didn't think wild horses could drag him away.
Type "kidderville" - wait - and it will come up. Hos post name has always been "KiddervilleAcres" versus "Bob Kidderville Acres"
Hope that helps
I've been in touch with Bob a
I've been in touch with Bob a few times of late. He is fine but otherwise involved which cuts into his Knots time.
I am sure he will be back among us before too long. I'll let him know that you all care.

Hey Folks,
I have been on an incredible roll since Nov. It's been absolutely crazy!
I milled I don't know how many feet of molding for a new Arts Center in town, tore out a wall in the house and did all the millwork for that AND got my first commission!
I'm supposed to be retired for cryin out loud. Needless to say it's been a hectic time with the holidays and all. No, it isn't the change in Knots, but I must say progress has certainly been made. Now if we could only get that fixed box on the left with the Recent Discussions thang working it just might get real comfortable around here again. :-)
I sincerely am grateful for your concern but rest assured that this old buzzard aint dead yet, Ha Ha Ha.
Oh, and I have two new passions, Greene & Greene and my new planes I got in Oct.; LV LAJ and a LV LA Block plane. Gawd they're sweet. Made a ramped shooting board for the LAJ too Derek.
Hope to be around a bit more frequently as spring is coming and it's time to start thinking about relaxing more. It's been a busy winter and I've got about 3 months of work to get done first. You know woodworkers estimates are always spot on, right?
And, I have a rooster in the kitchen now.
Regards,
Good to hear from you, Bob.
Person on the phone asks, "Are you busy?"
"Of course I'm busy," I reply. "I'm retired." '-)

Bobs are Uncle ,
O.K. I'll bite, whats up with the Rooster in the kitchen ?
regards from Paradise , dusty
Hey Dusty,
The rooster symbol in kitchens has been around a long time I found out. To some cultures it is supposedly a sign of luck, health and prosperity. Not sure about the prosperity part, health seems to be good, and on the luck end of things suffice to say that without bad luck I wouldn't have any of that either.
:-)
Regards,
Hey Bob,
Could be worse, Will has (used to have at least) a rooster in his workshop.
Somebody always has it worse. At least in the kitchen, it's close to the cookpot.
Ray
Ray,
Now that you mention it I remember him shooing it out once in a while, LOL. Never did hear if he used the leaf blower, Ha Ha.
Tink, the mayor of Kidderville, stopped by the other day and asked me, "What in hell ye got a rooster in yer kitchen fur? Don't lay eggs, tuffer'n buzzard and they aint good eatin ye know."
Regards,
I believe the wooden rooster is a British culinary tradition, dating back to the time they ran out of owls to boil for dinner. ;-)
Hey Ralph,
I would have bet it was pigeons, not owls.
Ha Ha Ha
Regards,
Congratulations on getting your first commission. It's a great feeling to make a few bucks doing what you love to do. We've missed you around here.
Jim
Thanks Jim,
The great thing is that they are the ideal customer, easy to work with, open to ideas and no money issues. Great combination.
I just put the first coat of finish on the remodel (read torn down wall) and am pleased with it. Came out darker than I thought it would, but it's all good. I'll put some pics up when I learn how, LoL.
Regards,
