I am looking for a source for UTC’s to use to tint water based analine dyes. I have had no success in the Philadelphia area. Anybody know where I can locate UTC’s? Mail order is O.K.

UTC's are pigments, not dyes. You can use them to change the color of paints, or you can make toning lacquers by adding them to clear lacquer finishes. Any decent paint store carries them--they ususally come in little toothpaste tube type containers. If you want to change the color of water-based dyes, buy some more powdered dyes.
*Artists suppliers or shops as well.
*Go to any Sherwin Williams Store and ask for Cal-Tints by Huls color. They can order them from their distributor if the store doesnt have themIf no luck there -- Woodworkers Supply of New Mexico has the sheffield Tints all -- 1-800-645-9292Jeff
