FInding a decent saw-setting tool (for bending saw teeth to make the kerf wider than the thickness of the saw blade) seems hard work. There is basically the Eclipse model, like the old 77 but looking rather poorly-made. And the usual far-east copies at suspiciously low prices.
Does anyone know of another saw-set brand of good quality for use with handsaws having between 7 and 15 teeth per inch?

Used Stanley or Millers Falls.
Lee Valley was carrying them last time I looked. Not sure now, they've revamped there web site and not as easy to find things. Good luck.
Try EBay. find the model you like and look there. Probably pay $15 or less
Thanks all for the replies.
Ebay has many saw-sets but the vast majority look knackered. There was a model 79 (I think) rather than the usual model 77..... but that looked like it was for setting the teeth on those old steel circular saw blades. (Haven't seen one of those for twenty-odd years). Perhaps it would have worked with panel saw or backsaw teeth..... But I didn't buy it.
Eventually I've sent for one of those many generic copies that are probably made in China, since they appear not to be made anywhere else. This is a bit sad, in the days of Veritas, Lie-Nielsen, Badaxe and even Skelton. A missed marketing opportunity perhaps.
