I am looking to purchase a 12″ miter saw blade capable of holding up to the abrasive properties of mdf. I milled alot of 7″ wide base molding and I dulled my Forrest Chopmaster rather quickly crosscutting it since it has a neg 30 degree hook. Any ideas or suggestions.

Any blade will cut mdf but, as you found, they can dull quickly due the abrasive nature. The best life is obtained with a TCG (triple chip grind) blade with extra hard carbide. If your saw is a slider I would go for one with negative hook (like the LU92m012) if it's not a slider you can use a positive hook (like the LU98R012)
