I would like a new ro sander and am not sure which one? does one of them go from ro to regular like some I’ve heard of?

Not sure what you mean by go from RO to regular. Do you mean from random orbit to oscillating?
If your referring to the Bosch, as the thread title stated, no. The model 1295VSK is strickly random orbit. If you use a random orbit, you will probaly never have the inclination to have an oscillating. The random is easy to use and it does not leave scratches if used properly.
I have a never been used but once PC sheet sander. Once I got the random orbit PC 333 the pad sander got parked. IMO, the RO is the best thing I've seen come along in sanding in the 30 years I've been tinkering with WW.
