I’m making a shop cabinet and it will have 6 drawers. Drawer size is around 23W x 22L x 7T.
I’m looking at the 22″ Lontan soft close slides. I’ve seen decent ratings online for them, and they fit my budget. Amazon has them for $136 for 10 pairs, other models are significantly more. I realize my shop is a dusty environment so I wonder if I should make allowances for this somehow. Also I’d like to stay with the side mount models.
Does anyone have experience with Lontan? Any words of wisdom to avoid problems?
Thanks

Do they come in an overtravel model? Having the entire drawer open to the sky makes a big diff in usability. Heavy-duty would be my choice over soft close for the shop.
I've only used Blum. They're fantastic, but not cheap.
I'm with mj. I'd only use full extension or better.
For all interior cabinet/furniture I would use Blum, BUT...For something in a shop as you describe I wouldn't. For that application I would typically use these KV slides - they work very well. https://www.cabinetparts.com/p/knape-and-vogt-drawer-slides-side-mount-drawer-slides-KV8450FM20-p29539?mtm_campaign=780273989&mtm_group=46437471008&mtm_source=google_ad&mtm_medium=cpc&gad=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw0vWnBhC6ARIsAJpJM6fz_TQVdQ5vhQ3rCOHEF1a5ZCiZuouf6u91C52SYDkaPEEXTZA9AtMaAnFTEALw_wcB
i used those (full extension) amazon slides on my shop cab drawers, they are pretty crappy. my usual rule is go big on stuff you see or touch on a regular basis, so i regret going cheap on the drawers i use more than any other drawers in our house.
Agree with others that for shop cabinets go with HD full extension slides. But you don't need to pay a lot of money to get good enough slides. I bought two each 10 pack slides for only $65 on Amazon. They will support up to 100 lbs and open to exose the entire draw. Here is the brand I bought: the only issue you need to buy screws separately. I got 1/2 screws at Lowes.

Lontan slides can be a budget-friendly option for your shop cabinet drawers. To minimize dust-related issues, consider adding dust shields or seals on the slides. Also, regular cleaning and maintenance can help prolong their life in a dusty environment. Checking reviews and feedback from others who've used them can provide valuable insights. Good luck with your project!
