Can someone pleasse refresh my memory on how to fix a finish that’s been blemished by the condensation from a beverage glass? Pretty sure it’s shellac or lacquer.

Chuck, Start with the simplest. Rub the spot hard with a clean cloth. Sometimes this will be just enough to cause the moisture to work its way out, sometimes not. Failing that, a tiny bit of alcohol in a cloth just pendulum'ed (is that a word?) to barely touch the surface will soften shellac just enough to let the water evaporate. If it's nitro-cellulose, or precat lacquer, the same as with shellac with lacquer retarder or thinner in a cloth. A very hesitant delicate touch I find best. Slainte, RJ.
