   this is one that is always featured in the cycling mags.  novel idea, but they say it has a very smooth ride and is very durable.

   I had a Calfee (my second love, a Serotta CSI was the first) I can't believe they are making Bamboo bikes. It has to be a joke. Please let it be a joke.

   Go to http://www.woodbike.com .  Bill works at the Stanton Woodcraft store and they have a beach cruiser on display.  He says he doesn't ride them that much because he gets too many people gawking and asking questions to get in a good ride.

   Here's a related question for you that I've been wondering about.   If you were going to build the frame using laminations, would you stack laminate them (vertically oriented plys like a laminated rifle stock) or go with bent lamination (horizontally oriented plys).  The bent laminated frame would take less wood but which would be the stronger, lighter frame?
