I am in the process of restoring an old display case from the late 1960’s. The back of the display has a piece of hardboard that looks like wicker. It is roughly 24″ x 48″ and 1/8″ thick. It reminds me of pressed hardboard (same material that pegboard is made of). Does anyone know where I can get a piece of this? Thanks in advance, John

I think it would be difficult to find this. That said, a number of companies that produce wallcoverings for the interior design trade make wallpapers with similar surface patterning. You *could* buy some and apply it to a substrate.
I have never seen hardboard like that. Fascinating.
The wall covering mentioned above might be a great idea. It was super popular starting in the 1899s or so, and is still around. Google anaglypta wallpaper. They might have that exact pattern.
