I have a TURBINAIR HVLP system. Can I use it to spay a water based clear coat without damaging the equipment? Somewhere I heard that damage would occur, but I am uncertain.
I live in California which prohibits the use of nitrocelulose laquer, so I will use water base products. Are there any precautions I need to take to protect my equipment?
Thanks for helping,

I shoot waterbased products with my turbine HVLP all the time with no problems. Although I don't think a little residual water in the gun will necessarily be bad, when a project is complete, and I've done my final cleaning, I shoot a little denatured alcohol through it, figuring the alcohol will displace any water.
