Williams and Hussey Molder question
I have a Williams and Hussey Molder. I once saw a post about “making” a radial jig like W&H sells for about $600. It looked real simple to make and the poster said it worked fantastic. Anyone know of this process?
Thanks

cggschmidt.com has a nice picture of one in their catalog. Unfortunately it's not shown online. This is the better of the two type jigs I've seen as well. That pictore is as good a plan as you could ever find so lack of measurements is of no consequence, at least for myself.
rsi.....The picture was on line and it sure looks easy to build....wish I had a more detailed photo but the one on line gives me a pretty good idea.Thanks..AndyIt's not who's right, it's who's left ~ http://CLIFFORDRENOVATIONS.COM
hey andy -if you've got your heartset on building yourself i think you could build it for less than 600. for 500+you could by the jig from the w&h company iremember that post it was mine , i completely restored one and some gentleman was gonna post that jig you refer to . but it turned into a no-show, so i bought one and after looking at it .it's pretty over-priced , for a flat plane a big 3" bearing and a treaded rod with a handle to accomadate the width of the trim. but it is indespensible when i need it i do alot of restoration work where there no shortage of rounds, curves, etc. as matter of fact i'm headin back to work after back surgery, next week and that the first thing i'll be tacklin'. hey when you headin out west??? good luck cheers bear

Bear,
I think the guy who posted that said he built it for about $75 or less if I rmemeber right. How many bearing (wheels) does it have? One 3" on on the bottom and a smaller one (or two) on top?
Aint moving out west. I went and found a fantastic 11 acres in Sebastopol (northern Cali) but the owner wouldnt budge on price so I'm still here. Having an inspection on my house here I built today by an engineer..ugh..for the my potential buyer and two houses in the background that I want to buy one of...A 320 year old house on 2 acres...just 45 to NYC and another one in the woods in Llyod Neck (right near where Billy and Christie use to live)1 hour to NYC. Both houses are in the village of Cold Spring HArbor where I am now...theyre just different areas of this village. Its all in the timing isnt it? Thanks for asking
