Looking for building plans and unable to find them for a wine cabinet similar to this one?? I am in shop class and wanting to build something like this but don’t have any plans or anything close. Thought I would be able to find a nightstand or something and then just add the part for wine bottles but I don’t really understand measurements and all yet. The instructor didn’t really explain anything. The class is more less designed to just have shop time and not much learning so plans would be easier when purchasing wood and so forth. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Greatly!!!
Brad
PS Here is a link to the cabinet I would like to make that has a picture. Seems hard for beginner but I feel as if I had plans I could do it no problem. Thanks!

Dear BMartens,
If you'e a beginning woodworker, you've picked a challenging project. But you seem to have a good can-do attitude. I think your basic instincts were good: find a plan for a basic nightstand/cabinet, then modify it to insert the gridwork for the wine bottles. You can purchase plans from our plan store:

And, basically, you build the cabinet without its door. sorry we don't have a plan that fits your precise needs.
If you want advice or instruction on creating the gridwork for the bottles, I'd suggest posting a query in the "general discussion" area of Knots, our online forum.

Thousands of experienced woodworkers who are eager to help others use the forum regularly; you stand a good chance of getting the instruction your shop teacher can't (or won't) provide.
Best of luck,
