Upholstered furniture frames is the one area of furniture making that FW and the other magazines give little coverage to. Most likely because the upholstery portion of the project is a trade in itself that most of us including myself wouldn't be able to do. I wish there was more information available about all styles of upholstered furniture so that we could make the frames and then take them to an upholsterer to have covered.
Taunton's book by Norman Vandal, called Queen Anne Furniture has a section on Easy Chairs (pages 82 to 99), that has plans and descriptions that should give you what your looking for.
I'll second the Vandal book.
