Can I do this or will it cause problems….. I just. Completed a piece with an oil varnish blend and now I’ve decided the finish needs a bit more depth and shine….thanks for the help…

Yes, oil/varnish mixes will cause no problems under wiping varnishes. If the oil/varnish has had more than something like 24 hours or more to cure, then be sure to give it a good scuff sanding with 320 grit, just as if it were a coating of varnish that you were overcoating. The scuff sanding is particularly important if polyurethane wiping varnish is to be used.
