Gentlemen,
On Monday June 23rd the New York Times featured an article on Dr. Larry Loo who has invented and is marketing a new safer table saw fence. In the article the executive editor of Fine Woodworking Anatole Burkin was quoted as follows ” you could not hurt yourself with this system unless you purposely tried to,”…… he added that the device deserved to “enjoy a fruitful life and become a standard item”
With this kind of endorsement I would have thought that FW would have reviewed this new fence or at least written about it. If they did I must have missed it. Any information would be appreciated. Having had a personal expeirence with kickback I am always looking for safer operation of my table saw. The Times article indicated the fence was available at WWW. wonderip. for $269.50

It's certainly an interesting design. That feeder tab thing will take some pondering -- don't know for sure what I think of that.
It's designed to attach to Beisemeyer-type rails. I'd be surprised to find very many Beis owners shelling out for another fence, but people who are looking for aftermarket fences for contractor's saws and such might be a pretty good market. Total for the WondeRip and rails $369.50.
Since I've already got a little over $100 in the GripTite system, I think I'll stick with that, but thanks for posting about this new fence!
