have a dewalt planer. what is the minimum length and width i can place into the planer safely? what is the thinnest i can take the wood down to. thanks

Have you got the manual that comes with the planer? How about a model number? The board must be able to span the infeed and outfeed rollers. You can plane thin boards in conjunction with a sled.
