I am thinking of retiring my old sears shaper (about 30 years old) and purchasing a Bridgewood BW-210 or BW-110 or a Jet JWS22CS. Specifications are all pretty close and there is a little difference in price but I am more interested in performance and reliability than cost. I would like to hear some comments from anyone out there that has used or owns one that was purchased within the last three years or so. Any information you can provide will be appreciated. I have made hundreds of doors on my old sears 3/4hp shaper and it is starting to bog down with some of the tougher woods.

I have the Jet and am perfectly happy with it. It has plenty of power for what I do. I am not a cabinet shop. I build furniture not kitchen cabinets so I don't crank out doors all day long. With that said this little unit seem to me that It would go for quite a while. I especially like that it came with the router collets. I have some large router bits that are better run in the shaper than in my router table. The fence is good as is dust collection. You will need to get a few more spacers and rub collars but you probably have to get those on any unit. I only use the 3/4" spindle.
