I’m trying to figure out how much wood I can haul on my trailer. Specifically I’d like to know how much per board foot kiln-dried cherry weighs? Thanks!

I can tell you what I've gone by , it's not scientific but I always was told Say Eastern Red Oak weighs about 3lbs per board foot and Pine may weigh only 1 lb per foot , Alder maybe 1.75 lbs per bd ft ?
My estimate is the Cherry weighs a tad less then Oak . Depending on if it's surfaced the 3lb figure will be a safe guide line to work with .
