Friends,
The wonderful world of woodworking is made known to me one layer at a time. I learned something new today. Today, while surfing the web, I came across a “Woodturning – woodcarving cruise” that lasts for 12 days in 2008, costs $2500-$3500, and operates out of Norway. They have more than a dozen instructors and I know of one of them – Wayne Barton (the chip carving guru). If you want to learn more, go to:
My question is: are there other woodworking cruises? For example, ones that operate out of the United States. The cost of going to Norway to pick up the Norwegian cruise would be very high (for me). Do any of you have any experience with such things?

I don't think I can swing the cruise, but I'm into Harleys. I'm game for woodworking instruction on a motorcycle ride. Have to get my missus to take the lathe off my lap when we stop for the night. But what the heck. Wouldn't be no worry bout dust collection though.

There's a woodcarving cruise to Bermuda scheduled for June of 2012 featuring Pam Gresham. The website address is http://www.pricelesssunsetjourneys.com where they have a video of the exclusive project to be complete at sea. The travel agent is Kathleen Tansey of Kent, Washington. Her phone number is (253) 630-7755. Her e-mail address is [email protected] I have travelled with this group before to Mexico, Alaska and the Caribbean.. the group was alot of fun.

Rabbit,
Great post. Thanks for writing. I can't make the cruise, but enjoyed hearing about it.
Where is Buda, TX?
