I’m interested in building some long wooden bar clamps; probably with wooden screws.
I built a bunch of wooden wracking clamps years ago and it was fun.
Anyone know where I might get aome plans?
Thanks, JET of TN.

These are not bar clamps, but are very effective for gluing up large numbers of panels or frames. They are made by drilling a series of holes through hardwood stock, then slicing pieces off to make strips with matching sets of holes. One block is held in place with a bolt through a pair of holes, and the other block is permanently attached to the two strips, and has a t-nut with a longer bolt through it and a block on its end as a pad.
These are cheap, and clamp straight.
Alan: Thanks; good idea for panels. Frankly, I've thought of the idea of "series of drilled holes" for the bar clamps. Would work!
I may make three or four of your idea just for gluing tops. Thanks. JET
I was sitting at the wooden bar.. She came over and clamped her hand on mine.. We are good friends now...
