I’ve used maple runners for slides in the past that fit into dadoes of Baltic Birch plywood. I’m designing a unit to hold electronic equipment with drawers for cd/dvd storage. Anyone have long time history on doing this for the drawers? I’m also thinking of extending the sides about 3″ so that the drawers will be full extention for easy access. Anyone tried that before? On paper that seems like a good way to do it. Thanks for any advice/thoughts you may have. —– John

Sure, been there done that. Just leave two slots through the back to let the 'Ears' protrude through the back when closed. (Also the adjoining wall.) Stein.
