A Conn. high school teacher and his class will build a working copy of the first
submarine, called the Turtle. I hope Taunton press makes a link available here
so we can watch the construction. They are going to have a camera set up but it
didn’t sound like it would be available to the public. The one man sub is made of
wood and resembles a barrel. The Turtle will be tested by Navy Seals. The Turtle
attached a mine to the hull of a British ship in New York harbor. The teacher has
already built a prototype and was shipped (transported)to New York for display.
