Good morning to all. I posted a question about the Woodrat machine last week and have yet to have a reply. So, I will try under this folder. Has anyone heard of, seen or bought a Woodrat? I was at a local woodworking show and saw this machine. I was skeptical, as I am of most new machines, but after taking a closer look I was impressed. Before I shell out 500$ I would like a more professional opinion since I am only a hobbyist of woodworking. Any comments are appreciated. Photogo5.

There's the same thread up in the Tools section. I like mine and you can see more of it at http://www.woodshopdemos.com.
Thanks
John
Good day jmc and thanks. Would you just say a little more on the machine you have? Did you find it easy to use, accuracy of joints, and do you think you got the best machine for the job? Do you see any downside to the machine? Thanks. Photogo5.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We just returned from vacation. I like the Woodrat for several reasons. It is very flexable. Many joints can be cut with it. It is very accurate (if you work accuratly) Also its not just put on a guide and follow the pins like most jigs so I feel more like I am really working with wood rather then just cutting out pieces. I would recommend it to everyone.
Thanks
John
jmc, thanks for the mail. I also like the Woodrat for those reasons, but wanted more feedback and since my first posting, I am even more convinced that this is everything I thought it was. I really do feel this would be a good investment. I wrote to Norm and asked his opinoin and they had never heard of it. It seems that it is not known in too many circles, but I am a believer. Thanks again and keep in touch if you have any other info.
