I subscribed to More Woodturning for a year. It's a black & white tabloid type publication, not a slick cover magazine. Photos are sometimes blurry. It's slightly heavy on coverage of woodturning conferences for my taste. I would rather have more tool and lathe review articles. The tool reviews it did cover, were thorough and accurate. Also, I e mailed the editor with a couple of woodturnngn questions and received timely and thorough answers to them. GP
I'm not much interested in turning, Acorn, although I do a bit as needed for any jobs that pass through the workshop, otherwise I farm turning out---- but the British lot, GMC, publish a magazine dedicated to turning subjects.
I see the rag for sale in American book shops such as Borders, et al, assuming you are American based. Here's a link to the GMC website where you can order the magazine, but be warned the site itself is a bit of a yawn-- well--- maybe not quite that exciting, ha, ha. Slainte. http://www.gmcmags.com/
