Dear all
I live in France, so I am very interested in fine woodworking publications,
I have a particular interest in furniture projects, toolboxes, storage etc. I was wondering if there were any publications on a particular subject, how to furnish yourself when your studio is 20 m2, or do carpentry. Then, across the Atlantic, American carpenters and cabinetmakers or tool manufacturers are unknown to me. Would it be possible to give him some names or projects that are really unavoidable, see books and works that would be good to read. I saw Stickley. I don't know why I like functional and elegant things like Sam Maloof, but no doubt there were men in the 60s - 70s or 80s - 2000s who changed your life as a designer, manufacturer, whom you recognized the work by using a few quotes in your plans or in your assemblies.

There are a great many books - some focus on a particular designer and some on a period or style of building.
Just google furniture book
As for making in a small space, or furnishing a small space, have a look at YouTube. Woodshop Junkies does some pretty good stuff about setting up a shop in a single car garage.
Good luck.
Check out these two books as a start to getting ideas on setting up shop and getting started on some projects. Salut!
My shop is very close to 20m2 and imo really well planned, at least for the things I'm making. Shop tour in the link below. A short tip if you're not building very large things, the "put everything on castors" tactic isn't always the best for everybody. I'm so much more satisfied working in the shop after I gave up on castors and went for permanent locations for (almost) every machine. https://youtu.be/9zeXpj8I2Ic
